Cheyanne Waetjen

Cheyanne Waetjen was born and raised in Prineville Oregon.  Her family has been in the Prineville area for five generations.  She has grown up in farming , ranching, and  the logging community that has founded this small town.  This lifestyle only fueled her love for animals until she was graciously given the opportunity by Dr. Rhet and Gretchen Schultz to volunteer for Prineville Veterinary Clinic at the age of ten. she then reached hiring age and began working as a kennel assistant until she departed for Oregon State University at the young age of sixteen where she obtained her Bachelors of Animal Science three years later.  She returned home to Prineville Veterinary Clinic and began working as a receptionist until earning assistant position.  In June of 2015, Cheyanne became a Certified Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster.  After working as a technician for a few years, she journeyed to University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine to become a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner in November of 2017.  She then started Diamond G Therapeutic Services, providing mobile equine therapies.  Cheyanne now provides equine services on site at Prineville Veterinary Clinic, works as CVT, and has continued to move up within the clinic.  Now, as Hospital Manager Cheyanne plans to guide Prineville Veterinary Clinic as it continues to provide the much-needed rural services and grow with the increasing veterinary needs of our community.  When Cheyanne is not at the clinic, she is right at home helping her husband with the family logging supply business and raising her beautiful daughter.  And let's not forget the animals, she currently has Cowboy, the cow dog, Fuzz and Kit the crazy cats, with future plans to get back into riding mules if hay prices ever drop
